Scale
Hey gang,
I've been seriously thinking about buying a new scale...a digital scale. The scale I have now is a regular scale (Taylor) and it just fluctuates too much. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a scale but was wondering what type of digital scale do you have and are you really happy with it? I just want one that is sturdy and no matter where I stand on it, it will read the same because mine just doesn't do that now.
Thanks for any input!!

I bought a Weigh****chers scale at Sears in February. It was a little expensive (about $50), but I really like it. They had a few different Weigh****chers scales at the time. It is very thin and lightweight, but wider and longer than most others. I had trouble being able to see my weight with most of the normal-sized scales (because of my big belly being in the way!). I also wanted more room for my feet to stand on the scale.
This scale records up to 2 different "users" weights and keeps a memory of the last weights for each user or you can use it normally like any other scale without the memory function. I do not use that "user" button, but my husband does and he really likes it. The best part about the scale is the accuracy. It weighs exactly the same as the one at my surgeon's office and almost exactly the same as the one at the gym I go to. It weighs in 0.1-pound increments, so you know even if you lose a little bit of weight.

Hi SueZ
I've looked at the Weigh****chers and yeah, there is more than one type. When I was trying to decide which kind of scale would be the most accurate, I thought this might be it, but kind of cringe on paying $50. Maybe Walmart carries it for less. I do like that you mentioned how accurate it is compared to your Dr's scale. I have big feet so the idea of having a larger platform sounds more appealing too
Does your scale have a specific model number? Since there are different ones out there I want to make sure I would be looking at the right one.
Hey, do you have a digital scale? Maybe you could email me a picture of it
Sounds corny, but having a picture of it might come in handy!
I might even take a look at ebay and see if they have the one you have.
Thanks for the info!

This is the formal name: Weigh****chers Memory Precision Electronic Tracking Scale (WW60). I saw it online at bedbathandbeyond.com (59.99) and also less expensive (49.99) at allbrands.com. When you go to the second site just type in Weigh****chers scale in the 2nd search box and several WW scales will show up. There is also a picture of it at both of those sites. I do not know if Sears still has it, I did not see it online at the Sears site, but I know it was on sale when I bought it and may not be on sale now. If you still need a picture of mine, let me know, I can scan it and email you a picture!
Good luck.

I have a Tanita digital scale that I got on Ebay a couple of years ago. It weighs in .2 increments and will also calculate your body fat %. The scale is very accurate. To properly measure the body fat % the instructions tell you to weigh again in the evening after you're fully hydrated. Whenever I do that, I just ignore the weight part and only look at the body fat %.
