POLL: 3 month checkup
Okay January babies! We should all have had our 3 month checkups by now (if your surgeon requires one at 3 months). How much weight have you lost? What was your starting weight and height? How are you feeling? Are you exercising yet?
I've lost 42 lbs. My starting weight was 274. I am 5'6. I am feeling great! No problems, at all. I am exercising at least 3X per week, elliptical machine, treadmill, and just started lifting weights.
I am SO happy!
Hello All,
I have lost a total of 49 lbs. My starting weight was 248, and I am 5'2. Had my 3 month checkup last Monday. Everything was fine except my B12 was 129, so I had to have a B12 shot. Not as bad as I thought it would be. I haven't exercised as much or as often I should. I walk 3-4 times a week. Hopefully I will gain more energy and will be able to do more. Other than that, I feel fine, am doing great, and could probably eat anything, if I wanted to!
I'll be four months post-op in a little over a week. I have lost 109lbs total since surgery...I think at my three month checkup it around 92lbs.
I'm probably losing fast because I exercise a lot - normally six days a week for an hour. I'll do 45min on the elliptical and some arm exercises. I have really become addicted to that elliptical machine!

You've done great, and isn't it fun to buy a few new things for the summer. I started out at 305 to 261. Down 44 lbs(54 altogether counting the 10 the Dr scared me into losing two weeks before surgery). I am in a 22/24 pants, and a size 2X top, down from a tight 26/28 pants and a 4x top. Still I would like better results, but in all honesty, I can't exercise more than 10 minutes at a time(pacemaker resets and causes problems, but still I'm happy! I can eat anything too, I guess that's both a blessing and a curse. Good luck with your continued journey.

I have lost between 63 and 65 pounds. My starting weight was 290 and is now between 225 and 227. I am 5'5.
I exercise almost every day for 1 hour a day, 45 minutes on the elliptical machine and 15 minutes on the bike/treadmill.
I am starting to feel better as of late. I have had problems with energy and depression. My iron level was low and since I increased my iron supplement to 2x a day I am noticing a difference. Depression is somewhat better now that the medication changes are starting to effect me. Since my energy has increased I am able to exercise more, which has really helped my weight loss and mood. I still struggle with the fact that I can eat anything and not ever feel full, unlike most people for the first several months. I have had to really work for this weight loss and I truly hope the weight is "lost" forever and will not come back.
I am happy and proud that I have not had any sweets, sodas, chocolate candy or caffeine and hardly any carbs in over 3 months. That is the longest I have gone without those things in several years! I also am much healthier in return.
