o.k. one more i promise, well for today anyhow...im just getting bored eating my current things so lettuce?? im scared but want to try it...how much did you eat and with what i would like it w/ chicken? and when? thank thank you thank you julie k

I typically use a dressing that I can add flavorless protein powder to and then I make sure it has some kind of meat on it. I make a club salad where I put all the fixins for a club sandwhich and substitute croutons for the bread. YUM! I also have done chicken salad, and many others. I just make sure to eat the meat first! Have you tried the subway salads? THEY ARE YUMMY! oh my gosh!!! you have so much corage to try these things, i weight and measure absolutly everything so i dont go over my calories, how much lettuce at a time do you have say with 2 oz.'s of meat? thanks!! julie k

depends on the meat, if it is lunch meat I probably can eat about 1/2 a cup of lettace. If it is chicken or something dense then I just take a few bites of lettace. HTH! My doc moved us through the diets so fast, it is easier for me to try new things. LOL! Hi Julie, I started eating lettuce about 2 weeks ago I was scared too but had no problems at all. I've had it with turkey and with cornish game hen,yum, yum, I also added cheese, onions, small amount of tomatos, and atkins salad dressing. The meat over powers everything else but its a nice change up. I dont ever measure (I know, bad) I eat slow and the doctor said to eat until i'm comfortable, not full. I dont even know what full feels like. I hope I've been some kind of help and good luck. Stephanie

I started on salad aBOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. i WAS SO HAPPY. i LOVE SALAD. sINCE SALD (WELL CHEWED) IS ALMOST ALL WATER i FIND i CAN EAT A LOT OF IT. I put chicken in it or tuna, any meat I would like even did it with broiled salmon YUMMY. Ass a touch of light dressing. My dietician recommends 3 bites of protein and 1 bite salad :< So I tewnd to get full quickly. I was afraid of salad because so many in my group said it was hard on them and caused them to vomit. I had NO PROBLEM at all. Try it and chew chew chew :> HUGS Mary
