Nauseous
Hi Peggy.
I'm so sorry that you're going through this. Sounds like our surgeon's are on the same page as far as not being concerned, which I guess is a good thing. I am also eating less and I'm just waiting for the scale to stop moving again because of my body thinking I'm starving
Sometimes I feel hungry but just don't want to eat because of knowing that I'll feel -- "icky".
I had to go to bed early 2 nights ago because after I took my calcium I felt really nauseous and was freezing again *sigh*. I'm always cold, but it seems when I feel nauseous, I'm even colder. Do you ever feel really cold during that time?
I hope this goes away quickly for the both of us and yes, I do feel a little better knowing that I'm not alone, however, I sure wished no one had to deal with this.
Take care,
Deanna
Dear Deanna,
I am just 3 months post-op, and have been having this problem for about 3 weeks. In the beginning I could eat anything and had no problems, but now I get a little nauseated every time I eat any kind of meat. I don't throw up, but I usually have to stop after eating 2 oz. or so. If I eat somethng very soft, like an egg, it doesn't bother me, but any kind of meat--yuck. I also get very warm (like a hot flash), and suddenly very tired after eating the meat. It goes away after about 20 minutes, but it really makes me dread eating dinner, and avoid going to a restauant! I'm so glad you posed the question. It's interesting that others have the same problem.
Hi Maryellen
I can't figure out what the deal is with me. I wi**** was more specific like yours being meat. Mine happens off and on and sometimes I can eat something and it bothers me like a bowl of Smart Balance cereal with skim milk and then I can eat it again and I feel fine. It's like this with a lot of food and even my protein shake so I'm not sure what to think of it. Hopefully it will go away soon and I sure hope you get to feeling better too!!!
Deanna
