Went to Universal Studios, sorry so long !

Hello everyone, Okay I had to post about what happened yesturday. I took my son, who is 14, to Universal Studios yesturday after school. One thing that happened is that when we went through the turn table things to enter, my son went first and then he turned to me and said, "Mom you didn't have to turn sideways to go through it." I was like OMG I didn't!! I was so excited!!!!!! Next I was able to walk around so much better. He was walking really fast and I was mostly keeping up with him. Also we went on the Jurassic Park ride and while we were in line I could hear this couple behind us talking. I heard the wife ask her husband if he thought that she would fit on this ride, He told her yes. I was thinking that this is always what went through my mind when we went to ride rides before. Well we got on the ride and there was a lap bar for all 4 of us to share. We pulled the bar down and it stopped on her belly. I felt so bad for her because she kept trying to pull it into her belly. My son had losts of room infront of him and I noticed that I had alot as well. I felt so bad for her but so happy for myself!!!!! Last I promise!!! We rode the Mummy ride and when we got on my bar, for my seat, was only alittle bit above my sons!!!!!!!! I was so excited!!! My son told my husband this when we got home. I also told him about the lady on the Jurassic Park ride and how I felt so bad for her because I knew exactly how she felt. Okay it was an exciting day for me yesturday!!! It is amazing what only 50 pounds can do for you!!!! That is when you loose it! Okay have a great day everyone!! And thanks for listening!!! Becky P.

congratulations on your great day. Who knows maybe one day that lady behind you will be infront of someone and be thinking the same thing you were. I can't wait to go to Disney and see how that is. I think we all want to ride some rides without feeling bad. Again way to go. Jenn

Jenn, Thanks!! Maybe she will be. I want to go to Disney as well. My son and I also went to Six Flags a few weeks ago and it was better for me than in the past but now I am down more weight than then. Have fun getting to ride those rides!!!!!! You can do it!! Thanks, Becky P.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day! I can't wait for my husbands company picnic to go to the amusement park and actually ride the rides with my kids. 2 years ago when we were there I tried to get on a roller coaster and my butt was too wide for the seat. How embarrassing that was. That was my final straw before starting my journey for WLS. This year will be different. Thanks for sharing your exciting day with us. Kim

What a wonderful experience for you, Becky!!! And... your son, too. I, too, have a 14 y.o. son (our youngest). June 20th we'll be in Disneyland and I'm hoping to have a similar experience as you! Thanks for sharing -- your story made my day!
