3 month checkup
I had my 3 month checkup today! I've lost 42 lbs since 1/25 AND I am retaining water from my period. So I have lost 33.8% of my excess weight. If I do this another 2 times, I will be at my goal!
YIPPEE!!!! 
On a not so good note, my surgery has really depressed my cousin. We are two months apart in age and used to be neck and neck in weight. Now since I had the surgery, she started going to the gym and has since stopped. She has gained 20 lbs since 1/25. Now she is getting depressed every time she sees me. When she makes smart comments, I remind her that I go to the gym almost every single day, that I am not losing this weight without hard work. I also remind her that when we went on WW together, she lost an average of 5-7 lbs per week consistently and I was grateful to lose 1 lb per week. I hope we can remain close because I really love her. I think the green eyed monstor is really his ugly head.

Maybe you could invite her to the board? A lot of non ops come here too. I know sometimes people get jealous & or depressed because they see us loosing the weight and they would like to do it too ...but for whatever reason opt no to do the surgery. I'm sorry to hear about the problem with your cousin!! You do hear alot about a family member(s) and/or friends who become jealous of the successes of someone who's had wls. It's really sad and I hope the 2 of you can talk about this and work things out!! Maybe supporting her more regarding her struggles will help to motivate her to get back on track and in return to support and be more happy for you too 
and then bringing you guys closer together again

Ms. Sassy, I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. I have some friends, that don't live near me, and I believe that my surgery and weight loss has caused some friction. It is such a hard thing to deal with. We just want them to be happy for us but that is not always the case. Hopefully you can talk to her about this and get things back to normal for the two of you as far as your relationship.
Also CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WEIGHTLOSS SO FAR!!!!!!!!
