Junk and Jewel food
I was wondering what everyone's favorite pre-op "junk "food was and what their new post-op "jewel" food is. I'll go first:
My favorite "junk" food was raw cookie dough in Bluebell French vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce. (ugh. Makes me wanna gag thinking about it now. lol)
My new "jewel" food is fresh garden grown baby tomatoes with basil, salt, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. BLISS!
I am boring... my favorite junk food before (even though it killed me since I was lactose intolerant) was Purity Chocolate Ice Cream (the whole container!) and now my favorite is the Carb Smart chocolate ice cream (a whole scoop). LOL!
Actually, I "crave" frsh fruits and veggies these days so I find myself making this great jellow and fresh fruit cup thing quite often!
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~

My pre-op junk food was anything that had sugar in it and the more it had the more I ate.
Right now my jewel food is salad with lots of different veggies. I've never had salad that tasted so good
My others are watermelon, mini cucumber sandwich, string cheese and jerky.
Since sugar was a huge problem for me pre-op it's very interesting that now I don't want sugar. A lot of things I eat or drink that has splenda or some type of sugar alcohol is too sweet for me for instance; Crystal Light Raspberry Ice....it's just too sickening sweet for me and before surgery I drank it all the time. Our tastes definitely change after surgery and I'm thankful

hmmm junk? Anything that tasted good and was bad for me...how about a big greasy burger with a great big bun loaded with stuff I shouldn't have? Some fried chicken....pork chops smothered in gravy with some rice & biscuits or cracklin cornbread ...it's the southern way.
jewel food...cottage cheese...i love it pre & post op.
