Beth I am three months out and have tried a couple pieces of bread, white did not sit well but toasted and I mean well toasted multi grain bread worked for me in fact today I was able to eat a 1/2 tuna sandwich on this type of toasted bread. I have also tried the hard crust of italian bread that worked ok also. My nutritionist said no bread until at least 8 week out and then not white and try toast first. Good luck Peg

Can't believe I missed this post! Little untimely, but... I have been eating bread since 6 weeks out. Surgeon's office says it is anybody's guess as to how well it will sit in that some have no problem with it and others can't eat it. The first time I ate it I felt SO full for a long time after. Now I eat half a slice of 100% wheat bread with no problems, although things like crackers or toasted bagels go down better....

I can eat just about anything as long as I eat slow and chew it to death. I've had a little bread, but not very much as it was once my weakness. If I don't eat very slowly I get that awful plugged up feeling. I have not tried steak yet and prob. won't for quite some time yet. I'm on that stupid plateau and getting frustrated. Tomorrow I'm going to up my protein and water and see if I can kick start it. I'm realling losing inches and in different places than I ever did before. I was always big on top and middle and small in the but and thighs. seems to be coming off the top half of my body first. How about the rest of you. Are you losing from the head down????
