Exercising and barely eating but noooooo!
I am stuck at 250!!! I actually dipped down to 248 for a day, but now I am back at 250. I have increased my activity from nothing coach potato to 20 min. cycling, 45 min. nautilus weights, 45 min. pilates/yoga, and 20 min. treadmill a day! I eat less than 900 calories a day(no carbs, lots of protein) and drink LOTS of water. I am depressed. I have sore muscles but nothing to show for them!
Now, Lou Ann! You know you should wait a bit and give your body a chance to show your hard work. If we work out faithfully, and stick to our plans, we WILL lose weight. Just keep doing what you are doing. The same thing happens to me. I work hard, stick to my plan, eat my protein and no weight loss. Then all of a sudden, I will have a 5-7 lb drop, seems like overnight.
Be patient. Plus, at least you have your husband to tell you how sexy you are now. Go ask him!
I understand your frustration. I check in here often, and I find other people who are stuck and not losing weight like they want. I'm one of those. I've only lost 40 lbs (50 altogether) in 12 weeks. Tonight it seems like I've gained 3 lbs over the day, so discouraging, yet I have to have hope. You're doing everything and more than me in the exercise department, so it HAS to fall off of you again soon.
So good luck!
Dianne
Girl, it takes the body time to regulate and fix itself. I know you don't want to hear this but you've got to be patient. Also... no carbs is BAD! With the exercise regiment that you are doing you need to eat some carbs before you exercise (at least 30 minutes) but make them healthy carbs. I also drink protein (SciFit- liquid stuff) in my water during and after exercise. GO to the website and read about her exercise theories: www.headbattles.com She has some great tips and on some other pages she has some stuff that will inspire and some that will make you laugh! I would not be surprised if you took your diet journal to a nutritionist and they told you to kick up your calories and protein based on your exercise. It would not hurt to make an appointment and ask!
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~

I know how you feel Lou Ann...I just got off of a 5 week stall myself.
Have you measured yourself? Remember, even though the numbers on the scale aren't moving, you are more than likely losing inches
Since you are exercising you are more than likely building muscle. I'm limited on the amount of exercise I can do right now but my dietican wants me to get in at least 900 calories a day and yes it's hard. Since you are exercising quite a bit now, you may need to boost up your calories because your body is in a starvation mode. I also agree that you need to add in some carbs...the good carbs. Your body needs it.
Good luck to you and just keep doing what you know is right and the scale will become your friend again

Hi Lou Ann,
I bet if you get out the tape measure you are losing inches. I have been going from 204 to 201 for 2 weeks now. I have been getting on the scale everyday only because I wanted to see the numbers on the scale say 199. I have also gone from a size 18 to a 16 in the past 2 weeks. I do go to the gym several times a week. I just love the cardio kick boxing classes. I always feel so good after I do a good workout.
Keep up the good work and we'll both start losing soon.
