I PLAYED PAINTBALL!!!

OMG! I MUST be insane! I actually went and played paintball today with my hubby! Jim and DJ like to go play paintball on the wekends. I used to play when I was like 15 years old but stopped after getting shot in the bare butt (I was using the non-existant potty in the woods...LOL!) I never went back to play again! So today hubby tosses me his BDU bottoms and says try them on.... not only do I get them up but I am actually able to button the fly and have some room inside... and they are MEDIUMS!!!! YES! Hubby looked a bit sad but happy all at once... I think b/c he realized that I am now really smaller than he is and he is on active duty and should be in better condition himself. Anyways... I rode along with them thinking I was gonna be my son's moral support (keep in mind he is 6, most kids don't play until they are 12) but before I knew it I had the taste of blood...LOL! I was out there running around in the woods with this huge paintball marker, lots of paint and taking guys out one at a time! Heck, I showed my own husband NO MERCY! I was a mad woman! I was all sliding between trees that were only inches apart... all style.... it was so liberating! I was on an adrenyllin high for about 2 hours after we went home. I think we were out on the field for 6 hours! (We took breaks to drink water and eat but we spent the majority of the day out there.) You know, I only got shot twice... hubby has a whole MESS of bruises and he plays all of the time. I can't tell you how good I felt after I got home and took a shower and began replaying the day in my head... Not once did I suffer from muscle fatigue, asthema, dizziness, sore muscles/joints, swollen joints/feet... NOTHING! I played like a champ and several times hubby had to force me to take a break! I can't believe the things that I accomplished today and here I am several hours later and I am not even tired.... I feel great! HOLY COW!!! What the heck happened to my old body?! Shoot- why do I care? I am glad that it is gone! Before surgery I could not even go grocery shopping without my feet and ankles swelling so bad that I had to take a nap after I got home...now... it has all changed. THANK YOU DR. SANBORN! I used to be but hubby bought me this kewl "Armor" from a friend that the Army uses for tacktical training... it si flexible and really light weight. Of course now that I am a "normal size" I can order a Field Armor suit... it is really kewl fieldarmor.com it is a whole jumpsuit that protects you! My son has a custom made one (you can see him wearing it on my journey website in my friends & family photo album) and he loves his! Now I am fearless! LOL! Tell me about it, now I don't loose my boys for hours on end each weekend. Instead I go with them! LOL! I can't wait til two weeks from now when we have time to go back! LOL! This weekend we are going camping just outside of Nashville and I am so ready to go do that! I already have my hiking boots dug out from storage and all cleaned up! Matter of fact I bought myself one of those walker packs that holds two bottles of water, your CD player and headphones and a GPS. I am all ready! Look out Mother Nature, here I come! Anyone seen my allergy meds? LOL! Jamie

Jamie, That is awesome. My son(he is 11) wants to go painballing, but my excuse was always that I am too fat to run around like that. Soon I will take him I think that sounds like so much fun. My big accomplishment for the weekend was riding a bike around the block with my son. You go girl, Kim

That is an accomplishment in itself girl! I have not tried my bike yet since the tires never stay inflated. (We have no idea why, everything on them are new...grrr...) Next time your son asks you to go paintballing give it a shot. I found woods ball much easier for me than speedball. My big butt is still too big of a target! LOL! Besides in the woods you can move at your own pace and hide behind lots of things! LOL! Good Luck- Jamie

WOW can still hear the high that you must be on. Sounds like so much fun. And I thought mowing the grass today was big. Have fun camping. Again congrats..................Peggy
