Poll: How much weight have you lost?
I am just curious to know how the January babies are doing!
How much weight have you lost?
What was your starting weight?
What was your starting dress size and what is your size now?
How much/often do you exercise?
How many calories, protein, carbs do you ingest daily?
I have lost 36 lbs. I started at 274. My starting dress size was 24. I am now in a size 20, but can fit some 18s. Not too shabby. I use the elliptical machine for 20 mins, followed by the treadmill for another 15 mins at least three times a week. On my off days, I walk 1 mile outside.
I take in anywhere from 450-800 calories, with 60+ grams protein. I do use hte carb countdown milk and GNC liquid protein to get my protein daily. I try to keep my carbs under 20. I only eat healthy carbs, not white flour, sugar, chips, cookies, etc.
Well, I look forward to seeing how everyone else is doing.
How much weight have you lost?
I have lost 59 pounds.... YEAH!!!
What was your starting weight?
My starting weight before surgery was 257 lbs. Of course that was far from my highest! LOL! But I am never sharing that number!
What was your starting dress size and what is your size now?
Woman's 24, 3X, 48 men's jeans, size 10 1/2 shoe wide width.
How much/often do you exercise?
I do water arobics 5-6 days a week, swim laps 3 days a week, TaeKwonDo practice (almost everyday), class 2 days a week!
How many calories, protein, carbs do you ingest daily?
About 800 - 1000 calories, 80g of protein, carbs? Don't really keep track b/c I choose low carb options or whole grains! (My fitDay software keeps track but each day varies so much, I'd hate to give a daily estimate.)
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~

I started at 304 lbs., size 4X(pushing a 5X) and have lost 56 lbs. I am now a size 2X(some 1X tops). I now weigh 248. I am 5' 7.
I workout with nautilus weights and a treadmill for one hour everyday.
I alternate exercises. One day I do the nautilus and the treadmill, the next day I do floor work; sit-ups, leg lifts, stretches, etc. and the treadmill. I will star****er exercise classes daily next week. I was doing Tai Chi, but schedule didn't work. I also chase after a three year old and a five year old!
I don't know how much I eat a day. I don't eat sugar, bread, carbonated drinks, tea (or any brown drink: stains the teeth), or certain foods with high acid (ulcer). I mostly eat fish, rare beef, deli meats, low-fat cheese, triscuits, edamame, miso soup, and fruit (the Japanese diet). For a treat, I eat a spoonful of sugar-free peanut butter. I drink a protein shake for breakfast with a banana. I drink 4 8 oz. bottles of water a day.
i don't know about sizes...i'm still wearing my same clothes...they're just huge now! i have such a long way to go, i don't want to spend money buying clothes that (hopefully) aren't going to fit for long. and i haven't really been exercising...but i did just purchase a treadmill that i intend to start using regularly. i've lost 81 lbs., but my starting weight was much higher than any of the people who've answered you so far.
i take in 500-700 calories, averaging 70-75 grams of protein; usually 50-55 oz. of fluid. don't measure carbs. i'm really not too adventurous with what i eat...mostly canned chicken, tuna or salmon, and cheese in various forms. just been trying some veggies, but so far, they don't sit too well.

How much weight have you lost? as of 4/10 46.5 lbs
68 lbs if you count the lbs. I lost pre-surgery
What was your starting weight? day of surgery 313
What was your starting dress size and what is your size now? 28 now 22/24
How much/often do you exercise?
I exercise 5 days per week, Mondays & Wednesdays I do water arobics, Tues, Thurs & Sat I walk on treadmill for 45 minutes and do strength training with a personal trainer for 30 minutes. I walk at work twice daily for 10 to 15 minutes.
How many calories, protein, carbs do you ingest daily? I usually get between 800 and 1000 calories and 70 to 80 grams of protein. I don't count carbs, but they are usually less that protein. I eat good carbs (fruit, veggies, fiber) I am not always perfect though.
Thanks for asking, Ms. Sassy. This gives us a chance to boast about our success!
I've lost 37.5#. Starting weight was 231# (I'm 5'2") Starting dress/top size 22-24 now size 16 pants are loose, top/dress is 18. Do cardio with trainer 3x a week minimum of 30 minutes. Do weight training with trainer 3x/week. I eat about 800 - 1100 calories a day. Unfortunately, I can eat just about anything. I always make sure 1/2 or more of my calories are from protein so I get 80 to 110 grams of protein a day. I was getting 125 grams a day but the doctor said reduce to 80 - 100. I supplement everyday with 8 to 12 oz. of protein with unsweetened soy milk. I eat too many carbs - love veggies and Wheatables! But never more than 60 grams/day.
Great job on you weight loss so far and again, thanks for asking.
I have lost 91 pounds or 56.5 pounds depending on what weight you start at. I had to lose prior to surgery.
I started at 315 or 280.5 depending on what weight you use.
I wore 3X and didn't have many clothes with an actual size. However, I didn't fit in a pair of 28W stretch jeans that I had in the closet. I am now in 1X and can wear a pair of 18W stretch jeans that I had in the closet from a prior weight loss.
I get some sort of exercise daily. I play softball three times a week. I lift weights two times a week and I swim the other two.
I don't count calories or protein. I know approximately what I need to eat to get the proper nutrition and I stick to that or I will go nuts counting and worrying that I did something wrong.

Just this week, I can say I'M HALF WAY TO GOAL!! Started at 274, now 204 (loss of 70 lbs), goal is 140. Clothing size down from 2X/22W to XL/18W. Have been able to discontinue high blood pressure and asthma medicines; blood glucose, cholesterol, and triglycerides are normal for the first time in over 20 years; and, husband reports I no longer snore or gasp when sleeping (never was diagnosed with sleep apnea, but believe I had it)! I have had no complications or serious discomfort from the surgery.
I do 1 1/2 hours of water exercise 3 times/week - this is more resistance training than aerobic. So...on non-water days, I use my Aerofit glider or treadmill at home for at least 30 minutes of aerobic level workout. Every now and then, I use a workout video (Richard Simmons or Walk Away The Pounds) instead. Variety is the spice of life!!
I no longer "count" what's going in or coming out like I did for the first couple months. There are only a few foods that I consider completely off limits, but I'm obviously making high protein, low carb choices. My surgeon recommends 50 gr. of protein -- not a problem. On occasional days, I drink one protein drink (just 'cuz and because I still have some). I am rarely found without a bottle of water or Crystal Lite in my hand. More than anything, my long-term goal is to NOT be obsessed with food. The need to be totally focused on what I was eating (and when) for the first two months post-op was actually a source of some disappointment/ frustration for me. Becoming a person whose life does NOT revolve around food is a major area of transition -- and, praise God, I can say I believe I'm winning the battle.
Daily supplements: one chewable Flinstones w/ Iron ****il my supply is gone), one One-a-Day "Carb Smart", one B-1 (250 mg), two CitraCal+D (200 mg each). Sublingual B complex liquid twice/week for the B12.
Three years before I finally decided to have surgery, a post-op friend told me (kindly) that it would give me my life back. At only 3 months out, I know that it has!!
Happy day to everyone!
