I have been fighting the head hunger battle a lot lately. I have discovered a few simple things that may help others. 1. Don'****ch commercials if possible. My tv skips them. but if not, I get up and walk the house for 5 min. I do not need to see Red Lobster commercials!!! 2. Only open the frig. when you know what you want. Never stand and stare at the food. 3. Fill up on water before going to a party with lots of food. Or better yet, skip the party. You can always go next year and knock em dead in a couture outfit. Anyone else have any tips?

boy I fight the head thing all the time............. what works best for me is to keep moving, walk, clean, garden anything, just move. Also water water water, I find if I am getting in my water that my head is more worried about the water than food. Also if I know that I have to wait 1/2 an hour before I can eat after drinking I can ususally find something to do in that time and not think about it for awhile. Nights are my killer.

For parties, make sure you eat a meal before hand and bring your own drink. That way you always have something in your hand and when offered things you can just say, "Thanks I'm OK, I have my drink." Or do all of your drinking before hand and then offer the hostess your cooking abilities... make a few low carb and healthy alternatives and bring them. That way you can eat with everyone else! On my fridge I have a sign that says "Do not open unless you DRINK." It reminds me to try drinking some water first. I am probably not hungry just thirsty! When I find that my mind is wondering to food and I know I do not need to eat or drink, I exercise. I get up and walk, do some TKD moves, anything to distract me! LOL! And of course I always have my SF Icebreaker Sours with me too! Jamie
