I am 10 wks post op and today for the 1st time ever I had a very bad dizzy spell. I was shopping at Avenue and had an awful wave of dizzyiness cover over me. I thought I was getting ready to hit the floor for sure! But I managed to get over closer to the area for shoes, and sat down in a chair. 5 mins later I felt just fine. But it was not a nice feeling. I wonder if anyone else has had this happen. I had eaten just prior to leaving for shopping around 10am and this happened around 11:15am. I suppose it was low blood sugar, as I took my BP upon returning hope and it was fine at 120/70. Any ideas? Jane -52lbs

I had it happen once or twice. It was usually when I was shopping and had been walking a lot. I am almost 12 weeks out and it hasn't happened in a while. I am not sure what causes it. I just tried not to do too much at once and that seemed to help. I would suggest if it continues that you call your surgeon to make sure it isn't cause for alarm. Christie

How is your water intake? Do you think you might be low on fluids? Just a guess. Chris M -51lbs

When I get like that it is typically b/c I am dehydrated! I had a bad episode this weekend so hubby offered to give me an IV. I promised myself that would be only a last resort and I forced myself to drink down my normal water intake that day (two fills of my 64oz water jug). So far I have not had any repeats. Add me to the list of dizzy gals. I'm 10 weeks post-op, and yesterday I thought I was going to pass out in Home Depot. Now that that you mention abou****er intake playing a part in this...my water intake yesterday morning was not very good. I bought an iron supplement (I have had a tendency to be slightly enemic at times), also some B-12. The other factor for me is that in north Ga, the pollen count is 5000..... This could also be contributing to my dizzyness. God Bless.......Lanie
