Have any of you not lost for this long? I lost 50lbs and now NOTHING. Am getting in protein and water upped calories to 800-900, treadmill 20 min a day, and still cannot make the scale move. Rhonda

Hi Rhonda, We have the same surgery date. I stalled out a couple of weeks ago for about 2.5 weeks. It was so frustrating, but hang in there...things do move again. I have read over and over again that our bodies are in shock, and need time to catch up. Keep drinking, eating protein and exercising. It will move. Good Luck!

Hi Rhonda! You've been doing great girl! You've actually lost more than I did in the same amount of time. I had my lap rny on January 10, 2005 and now at 3 months out I have finally lost 61 pounds. Don't get frustrated, I know the feeling because I was also stalled for about 3-1/2 weeks and now the scale is finally moving again. My doctor advises us to do 45-50 min. on the treadmill 5 times a week, so you might want to try that. He also mentioned that as our bodies change and the fat turns to muscle, that muscle weighs more than fat so it may not show on the scale but should show in inches lost. Hope this helps! Aloha, Pat

I feel your frustration! I don't know what the heck is going on with me. I've only lost 37 lbs in 10 1/2 weeks. I've only lost 7-9 lbs since week 5! I can only do 20 minutes on treadmill too. I've had lots of advice, but nothing has helped me. I have to believe everyone when they say it will start up again. So I'll keep the faith, if you will!!!!!!!!!! Dianne

Dianne - you are not alone. I am 11-/12 weeks and have only lost 35 lbs; I plateau for about two weeks before I lose another pound or two. I don't exercise at all, though and I am sure that is part of my problem. I worry that because I tolerate almost all food that maybe I am eating too much but I try to stick to the 800-1000 calories my doctor says I should have, mostly protein. Also, I am not drinking enough. I look at all these variables and tell myself that is why I am not losing, but maybe it's just our bodies catching up. I certainly hope so, but it's discouraging that others are at 60 lbs at this same time frame, isn't it? Just to let you know I am where you are. Lynne

I think you have just hit plateau land...you might need more calories than 8 or 900...that is still not much in terms of the real world. Many people suggest changing their foods and even having a few healthy carbs to shake things up a bit. I empathize with you...I would be crazy. Sher'
