Poll: How much did your doc bypass?
Marti, My Dr. bypassed 150 cm. He does for all his bypass patients. I had surgery on Jan 18 and have lost 50 lbs. For the last 4 almost 5 weeks not one single pound. I am getting a little scared. Everyone keeps telling me, give it time your body is catching up. So I guess I will. Hang in there it will get better.

Marti:
My doctor bypassed 150 cm, so I had a proximal RNY. He does the same amount for everyone. My friend that had surgery with the same doctor on the same day I had surgery has lost much more than me. However, I weighed 274 and she weighed 367 the day of surgery. So that may account for the reasons she has lost more weight. I am now down 37 lbs in a little over two months. Not fabulous, but not shabby either.
Have you lost any more weight since we last corresponded? I thought you had lost more than 24 lbs now. Anyway, what is your doctor saying at this point?
Hold on. I am sure that you will soon find out why you are losing slowly. I saw a post on the main board the other day stating that someone's weight loss jumpstarted once they stopped using the artificial sweeteners. She said she was drinking crystal light all day. Just an idea.

You know what... I have NO IDEA! LOL!
Guess I should ask!
