I am so excited that I finally reached the -50 lbs mark! Things were going so slowly for awhile there that I lost hope of being successful. Now I have some incentive to keep on trucking and not lose hope. I know of lot of people have lost much more than 50 pounds by 2-1/2 months after surgery, but I have to take what I can get. Sue

Don't give up you can make it. I felt the same as you. I was on a plateau for 6 weeks. But the past 2 weeks have made up for that shortcomings. I lost an additional 15 pounds and that took me to 54 pounds in 2 1/2 months! I feel so blessed. Stay encouraged and don't stop exercising even if the results are not visible right now. ~ Ollie

Thanks Ollie. Sounds like you are doing great. You are right about the exercise, when I increased by time at the gym to 1 hr 5x to 6x per week (using ellipital for 25 mins, treadmill for 25 mins, and bike for 10 mins), it made a big difference in weight loss. Thanks again for the encouargement. Sue

CONGRATS SUE! I, too, am struggling with a stubborn 2 lbs...it keeps fluctuating everyday... I walk at least 4 times a week, 1-3 miles at a time, then on Wed & Thurs at work we do door-to-door mailouts, so thats averaging about 5-7miles per day!!! I would love to get a pedometer to really track the steps! Anyway, I have that feeling too, that I won't lose anymore, then BAM it all comes off! I think we're all on track with one another. To date (before surgery and including weight lost from surgery) I've lost a total of 94lbs! Sad thing is, though, to reach my goal of 130lbs, I need to lose ANOTHER 130 lbs, life is so mean sometimes but hey, WE CAN DO IT! Beth

Thanks for all the happy emoticons Beth! Your weight loss is great. All that walking probably does help. I know what you mean about how much more there is to loose. I too need to lose another 100 pounds just to get down to an ultimate (and probably unrealistic) 140-pound goal. I was 120 pounds to 140 pounds as a young adult and do not know if I will ever reach that again. Thanks again, Beth. Sue
