WDYET?
I know it's the weekend, and many of you are enjoying yourselves, but thought I would post this post as often as I could. By all means, if you arrive here before me and want to start the thread -- please do so
Today I have a sweet baby shower to attend at the local tea party house. So last night I headed to the stores to find something tea partyish to wear... The first dress and shell I tried on fit wonderfully (22), a necklace and bracelet to match, the hat is spectacular, and I was in and out of that store in 30 minutes Then came home and pulled out my red stiletoes and VIOLA they also fit beautifully -- I guess now I can say I've lost a shoe size too, and they are no longer a wide fit - YEAH!!! Gotta love WLS!!!
LND: Atkins shake, 2 oz bbq beef
LNS: 2 cups popcorn
B: 1/2 Nancy's quiche, 1 tb sour cream, 2 tb cottage cheese.
L: At a tea party baby shower - some sort of salad and probably a croisant finger sandwich
D: Not sure yet
I'm having a hard time today as I got really sick yesterday and writhed in pain and threw up twice after trying to eat lunch at Red Lobster. I had 4 bites of salad, 4 broiled bay scallops & 3 bites mashed taters.....but pouchie was not having it, no way!! My pouch hurt so bad that it was difficult to drink any fluids for at least 8 hours afterwards. I'm getting so depressed because I have such a time tolerating solid foods. I do fine with yogurt, protein shakes, cream of wheat, cottage cheese, and usually mashed potatoes or crackers. I don't think I have a stricture because everything I've read about them sounds as if you can't even keep liquids down. I've started keeping a Throw-Up Diary so I can let my surgeon & nutritionist know the what, when, how, etc of my vomitting escapdes.
Sorry for the rambling.....here's my exciting meals for today:
B: Atkins Advantage shake
L: cream of wheat w/chocolate protein powder & skim milk
S: half of an Atkins Advantage shake
D: yogurt w/protein powder
S: wheat thins w/cheese dip
Liquids: 16 oz Tropicana SF OrangeAde (good stuff!), 8 oz Isopure Grape Frost protein drink, 16 oz decaf tea, 8 oz water
I'd appreciate any suggestions on my eating dilema. Thanks!

Mary Ellen, I've tried scallops too and they were too chewy for my pouch I couldn't chew them well enough to get down and I too felt them going down, I didn't get sick but came close to it. I haven't tried salad yet I didn't think it would digest good yet. So perhaps you're eating some of the more difficult foods. I eat chicken but I read somewhere that the pieces should be no bigger than your baby finger nail and if I keep them that small and chew it forever it goes down okay. I also eat it with a gravy or ranch dressing to keep it moist. Hope this helps and lol.
let see what did I eat today
break: 1 soft boiled egg and 1/2 slice low cal whaet toast
sn-colby cheese
