In two weeks. I know this is normal, but I am just feeling a little frustrated. I have lost 43 lbs in 9 1/2 weeks and I know this is wonderful, but for the last 2 weeks the scale has not moved. I have read many posts regarding this and I know I should not worry about it but that is easier said than done. I guess I am just looking for a little encouragement from all the wonderful people here. Thanks in advance. Kim 286/243/150ish PS. I posted this on the PA board but thought I would get input from people on this board as well.

I can feel for you and yes you are very normal. If you can up your cals for a few days and your excerse. They tell me that it helps to change things up and then the body will start moving again. I think I have started my plato this week the scale has just gone up and down the same pound all week. Good luck and hope things move for you soon............................Peggy

It's just ketchup I know waaaaaay frustrating, but never fear, My Friend! I haven't been able to change my mentality from being on a "diet". I really do have to remind myself that this is for life, no matter what! It's definitely not the easy road, but it's the road we've chosen... and in my personal opinion, IT'S THE GREATEST ROAD to travel! Enjoy every minute, my friend, even the non-losing ones... because, before you know it, we will all be normal weight people and healthy! ((((skinny hugs)))) wendyb -46.5

I understand how you feel. I have only lost 39lbs since Jan 20th. I wish that It was more. I don't understand why I have lost so little. Lorna

Hey, Lorna... don't stress about how fast you are losing -- 39 pounds is AWESOME... and remember, you WON'T ever see those LBs again! Because I was in the hospital for 3+ weeks following my surgery and on TPN (bags of nutrition) at 3,000 calories/day, I actually gained 8-9 pounds, which totally sucked! But to reiterate what my sweet Dr. Wonderful said... we might not be the fastest or "biggest losers", but we will be the LONGEST losers I know it's hard to fathom, but it's the truth... and I have to keep reminding myself that every day -- this isn't a diet that we are going to fail on -- it's our way of life ((((skinny hugs)))) wendyb -46.5 as of this morning!

Kim, It is normal to stall every now and then. I went over two weeks stuck at the same weight, and all of the sudden it kept on moving down. It's just a phase - it'll pass. Up your fluid intake - that made a big difference for me (though not really sure why). I may be in the bathroom every five minutes, but I'm not stalling anymore, lol! Best of luck... I've lost 36 pounds and haven't lost anything now for 1 month. This is depressing but I'm trying so hard to keep positive and keep doing the right things. I've tried changing what I've been eating, increasing my water and protein and exercising more...but nada. I know the scale will budge, it's just a matter of time. The good news is that I'm still losing inches even though the number on the scale isn't moving...perhaps this will decrease my need for a tummy tuck because the skin is able to snap back...well maybe not snap back in place , but you know what I mean I have a check up appt with my surgeon and don't want to go because I feel ashamed because I've not lost more and this is the wrong kind of thinking to have. My surgeon is also my support person. It just gets hard when you see others losing more than you, especially people who push the line and eat things they shouldn't and they keep on losing. We all are different and have to keep that in mind. My metabolism is snails pace and I'm trying everything possible to get it going, but until then, it looks like I'm a slow loser We just have to follow the guidelines of this new lifestyle change. It's not easy but no one said it would be...darn it anyway Deanna
