All my clothes are too big!!! : )
Hey! I just tried on clothes in my closet! Good news! My clothes are all too big! Bad news. My clothes are all too big! LOL
I really had a laugh when tried on my concert tuxedo, which I only wear once or twice a year. It was a size 28 and too tight to wear last season.
Now, it is so big on me that the zipper overlapped twice! Soon it will be time for new clothes!I am down from a size 28 tight to a size 24 loose in two months!WHEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
CONGRATZ LOU ANN
I am so happy for you. Big High Five girl! Personally I go through my closet once a month and try everything on and I weed out anything that does not fit or looks bad even though it kinda still fits. Then I pack them up into one of those 18 gal plastic totes and take them to storage! That way they are gone forever. I am having a yard sale in April and getting rid of everything in storage. Anything that does not sell is getting donated to various charities or exchanges!
Fat clothes are not GONE FOREVER!!!
(The reason why I plan on selling them instead of giving them to my fellow WLS patients is that we live only on hubby's income and I can't afford new clothes without selling the old ones. LOL! And unfortunatly, all the post op folks in my area have already given away or traded with folks so there is no one to trade with. So everything that does not sell get donated to the preops locally! LOL!)
PS- Just a suggestion on the concert tux... if you have a concern coming up and need it but you don't want to buy a new one yet, take it to a good tailor and have it taliored down for you. It is worth the $30 to have it tailored than to buy a new $100 one. LOL! That is what my baby sister did when she lost a bunch of weight and knew she'd keep loosing so buying new was just silly.
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~

WTG Lou Ann!!! Isn't is great to not get depressed every time you have to get dressed?
I'm like Jaime and need to sell my old stuff so I can buy new clothes. Hubby hurt his back and has been off work (it wasn't a work-related injury so no worker's comp) and has no more sick leave or vacation, so we're poor.
Luckily my mom is a great seamstress and is taking in some of my stuff....the only problem is that I didn't have very much spring or summer clothes to start with! My sister wears an XL and I can borrow some of her shirts & tops, but she's 6 inches shorter than me so can't borrow any pants!
Guess I'll be hitting lots of yard sales & thrift stores this spring!

That's wonderful! It feels so good!
I've gone from a 34 jean to a 24 or 26 - huge difference! I wore an outfit today that was a bit too loose and I told dh I looked like a bag lady. I need to buy something that actually fits. Never thought I'd look forward to buying a measly little 2X, lol....
((Here's to loose clothes!!))
