BMI says Severe not Morbid!!!!
I did it!!! I hit the mark!!! I finally am severely obese and not morbid!! Becky, you got there first, but now I really know how it feels. Also, today as I was speaking with a parent after rehearsal, he suddenly interrupted me and said " So how much HAVE you lost?" I grinned and said " Thanks for noticing" 46 lbs. When I hit the big 50, you will all hear it online!!!LOL
Lou Ann
That's really great Lou Ann. I still have 4 or 5 pounds to lose before I get to that point. I didn't even think about looking at the BMI category changes. That is a great idea.
I noticed you said something about a rehearsal. Are you a music teacher and/or performer. I am a woodwind player (mainly clarinet). I have played with local symphonies and used to teach privately. I also was in the military as a military musician several years ago. I don't play as often now, but do play with a local woodwind quintet now and then. I sure do miss the music.
ANyway, sounds like you are doing well with your weight loss. Congratulations on not being morbid anymore .
Sue
Yes, I am a conductor and a flutist, vocalist, harpist, recorder player, percussionist, and pianist. Mostly just conducting now (that is pretty full time work). I am the artistic director for the Hidalgo Children's Choir.
They are a professional children's choir in the Rio Grande Valley consisting of boys and girls ages 8 through 16. We are currently preparing a concert for our Spring trip to San Antonio. I am also working on some recorder music for church.
Lou Ann, That is so great!!! Congratulations!! It is a great thing isn't it??!! Hey it doesn't matter who got there first, all that matters is that we are all getting there and also getting healthier!! That comment was great about what your parent asked you. It just makes you feel better when people notice. I am with you on the 50 mark, everyone will know, ha ha!! Only 4 more pounds and we will be hearing you!
Take care and keep up the good work!!
