9 weeks out & need help
You're doing GREAT, Vickie!!! I get in 6-800/k day with about 50-60g of protein and feel great! I was told by my physician's office that 800-900/k was optimal for weight loss and to stay out of starvation mode -- I strive for the 800, but unless I eat a lot of prepackaged meals, bars, shakes or high fats, I can't make it there. But I feel GREAT!!!! You shouldn't worry -- actually the portion of the stomach they used to create our pouches doesn't stretch very well -- it is the strongest, least stretchy part of the organ... and usually you will fill up your esophagus before you'd stretch your pouch anyway -- so don't think of it like your old stomach, cuz it's really nothing like it mechanically I loved my 9th week out -- it was the best week I had had since having a 3-1/2 week hospital stay and not losing any weight due to being on TPN of 3,000/k day. But as of that week, I came out of the fog and it has been smooth sailing since! Also, your pouch is still healing believe it or not and a lot of sensations will return with time.
((((skinny hugs))))
