New Lemon iced tea protein?

Has anyone other than me tried the new Nectar Lemon Iced Tea flavored protein mix? I read the reviews and ordered it. I waited anxiously, and today it arrived. I mixed it as directed, put it over ice and sipped what I was told tasted like Lipton Lemon Iced tea (only with LOTS of protein). What a disappointment! I had to add Splenda, and 2 large squirts of lemon juice to make it palatable. Did I say palatable? This brown sludge is STILL sitting here by the computer. YUK! I will eat my sashimi to get my protein from now on. It may be expensive, but it tastes a lot better and it won't sit around the kitchen unused like this GIANT jar. I also ordered their gourmet cheese crackers with no artificial colors, preservatives, whey, no lactose, no eggs, no carbs, and NO FLAVOR!!!!! Not as bad as the tea, but very disappointing. So far, my husband's low or no carb recipes are far superior in taste and cheaper, too. I also ordered their sugar free, carb free hot apple cidar mix( I drank two a day before surgery of the sugared kind). I will let you know the outcome when I try it. Very upset so far. $30.00 down the potty!

ANY protein rich drink or mix you have to try in sample packs first. That has been my expierence. I too have tried almost all of the flavors of the Nectar and I have been unimpressed! Personally I love the spiced apple cider (sugar free) from the grocery store... I think it is made by alpine or something. I also did not like the gormet cheese crackers either so I gave them to the neighborhood birds! I make my own high protein cheese "crisps" and they rock! My two favorite recipe places is food network's "Calorie Commando" and "Low Carb & Loving it." HTH! Hi Lou Ann I haven't tried the Nectar Ice Tea.... but I absolutely love the Strawberry Kiwi flavor, I'm on my 3rd jar of it! I don't like instant tea, so never thought about trying that one.... If you need a place to order samples.... Vitalady.com sells them for under $2.00 each and she has a wonderful assortment to choose from. Yesterday I tried the Pure Whey Stack Banana Scream.... it was SOO GOOD! Or maybe I was hungry for bananas lol anyways, check out her site and see if anything sounds good to you. The protein drinks are so very important to us now --- its important that you find a variety of them that you like Patty Open RNY 1/5/05 319/270/144

I'm really weird, I know... but I ONLY drink Atkins shakes - and only cafe au lait... I was on powdered protein drinks for six months once (optifast) and cannot even stand the sound of opening the mixture and scooping it out. I'm sure they've made vast improvements over the years - but I can't get past it, so I gave in and just drink the Atkins

You won't believe this!!!!! The owner of the company whom I emailed to complain about the drink emailed me back. She said "Add some Arizona Iced Tea to it and it will taste great!" WWWHHHHAAAAAAATTTTT???!?!?? Lou Ann

Lou Ann: Try the Nature's Best Isopure protein drinks. You can buy them individually at GNC for $3.50 per bottle. They have 40g of protein and tastes like sugar free koolaid. HTH Beth
