Son is proud of me

My 18 y/o son went to college a week before my surgery 1/26/05 and hasnt seen me since this past week ,and when he did ,he gave me the greatest hug a mom could ever get !!!! Ive lost almost 50 lbs , and my self confidence has gained that much plus !!!This past October was the only birthday of his that I ever missed cause I was too embarrassed of myself to be with him at college in Iowa.This year I will be proud to visit him and I know that I wont be an embarrassment to him.Thanks for listening,Love Elizabeth.Ft.Lauderdale,Fl

it is so nice when they tell us how they feel and that they notice what we are doing. Congrats on your lose and on raiseing a great son.

What a wonderful feeling! I know that I am so less self concious of what I look like now. Everytime my 6 year old tells me "Mommy you look beautiful" it makes my heart sing! Wait until you reach goal and your son's friends think that you are a MILF...LOL! I have a friend who has lost 200 lbs and her college aged son came home from school after "parents weekend" and told her that his frat brothers thought she was a MILF, I had to break it to her on what that meant... she was so embarrased and flattered at the same time!
