2 months post-op today!
I had my surgery back on January 25th and I was just wondering how everyone who had it the same day as me are doing?? I remember there was a pretty big bunch of people who were also scheduled that day. So far, I've lost 56 lbs and 26.5 inches. As happy as I am about that I did have to have my gall bladder out last week which kinda put a damper on my day, but never in my life have I been able to say I've lost 53 lbs and am still going!!! So, I guess I just wanted to toot my own horn a little but more importantly I want to know how everyone else is doing. So please post and met me know!

Sarah, You are doing so great!!!! I had my surgery the same day as you. I have lost 35.5 pounds and 18 1/2 inches so far. My starting weight was 271 and I am now at 235.5. I am sorry about your gall bladder, my WLS friend who is 7 months out just had to have hers removed on this past Tuesday.
Have you taken pictures of yourself?? If you haven't you should. I took pictures the night before surgery and then I took them this morning on the 2 month mark. I posted two of them to my profile. It is amazing how much difference there is in just a short amount of time.
Okay, here is to our continued success!!
Thanks for posting!

Sarah,
You are doing so good! What's your secret. I had such a bad plateau for almost 3 weeks, but I lost last week, and am hoping to post a few more pounds the end of Monday. Are you exercising? I wish I could do more, but I'm so out of shape!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry to hear about your gall bladder, did that come on quick, or had you had problems before? We had surgery a day apart, so stay in touch and keep us posted on your wonderful vogage to the "light side."

Hi Sarah:
I had my surgery on 1/25 and have lost a total of 32 lbs, from 274 to 242. I am pretty happy with the loss. I would like to lose at least another 15 lbs by the time I have my 3 month checkup. I exercise at least 3-4 times per week. I had a bout with constipation, but my MD gave me Miralax and, well, the bout is ending. My ultimate weight goal is 160, so I have 82 more lbs to go. I expect that I will be there by the end of this year.

Hi Sarah
I had my surgery on the 25th of Jan as well. I wish I was doing as well as you are but I am not far behind. I have had a 3.5 wk bout with severe nausea and just not feeling well, which likely set me back, but I seem to be feeling better now finally! I have lost 45.6 lbs since surgery, and then pre-surgery lost 5.5 so my total since Jan 1st is 51 lbs. My starting weight was 364 the morning of surgery with a BMI of 55, and I am now at 318.4. At least it is comforting to know that the weight we have lost to date will not come back !!

My surgery was January 13th and I have lost 79lbs so far - no idea how many inches, since I haven't bothered to measure. I do know that I am growing out of clothes in about five minutes time - I don't get to enjoy wearing my old clothes because in two weesk they fall off of me! We went to a junior league resale shop today and I bought myself a gorgeous skirt and top from Talbots, and I could have cried - have never had anything from that store - now I am more of a normal plus-size instead of a miserable super plus-size!
I'm not going to sugarcoat - the past ten weeks have been a hundred times harder than I ever thought they'd be. I've had awful depression and fatique, and badly miss food. But, I do have my better days - today was one. We took the kids to an egg hunt and people who I hadn't seen in months were astonished at how much I'd lost. It made me feel good, for a little bit anyways. But, I still have quite a way to go. I'm doing goals in hundreds, lol...my next goal is getting under 300.
Hope everyone is doing well and survives easter dinners eating four bites worth! LOL!
