SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
You know, there are LOTS of foods that are mainly liquids, such as Salsa, soups, jello, the list goes on....
WHAT do we do when eating this type of food with other solids...I MEAN REALLY....the same principle applies "NO DRINKING WHILE EATING" so where does this leave us?
Can I not eat soup with a couple of crackers or cheese, see the conflict I'm thinking about?
me figure this one out....
I ate very liquidy chili for lunch (around 2oz +/-) with 2 saltine crackers and 1oz of Cracker Barrel cheese.... now I'm wondering....is that considered drinking while you eat?

I would fathom a guess at...if it's poured in a cup as refreshment, then it's drinking...if it's put in a bowl as a food item, it's food.
I don't usually count soups or salsa type things as liquid as they have more calories than the drinks we are supposed to be consuming.
I cheat a lot and drink with eating as many things don't seem to sit well if I don't. I do however consume only 3 meals a day and snack only on occasion when I am very low on calories for a day.

I think you are analyzing things too much. Chili is chili...FOOD...water is water...liquid.
When..ever..in life..was eating chili with crackers and cheese considered "drinking while you eat'??? It's not now either....if it were...the whole puree phase would be drinking while you eat..because that IS eating....and as for that stage..we were just asked not to drink our water or crystal lite...within 30 minutes of it.
Protein shakes are FOOD...etc....if you ate cheese with it and a couple of crackers...you would be having solids with your liquid MEAL. if you ate chicken and washed it down with tea or kool-aid...THAT would be drinking while you eat.
Now..STOP it already with the over analyzing!!!
