Hang in there Pat, it seems to be sort of normal. I am feeling better since yesterday, until I ate some cheese and crackers this evening, but it will pass in a bit. So maybe after 4 wks of this nausea, it may well be on it's way out. But I am sticking to mostly liquids now too for a while. Take care.

Hi! I don't have advice on the nausea, but I do about food getting stuck like one person mentioned, "like a baseball" for an hour! I've had that same miserable experience more than once. But I read Susan Maria Leach's book and in it she happens to mention that the key to food going down is that everything needs to be MOIST. This is SO true. Now I make sure that everything I eat has something moist to go with it. If I eat crackers, they have pimento cheese on 'em. If I eat hamburger, it has ketchup and mustard (or some condiment) on every bite. I tried Shake and Bake chicken the other day - the night I fixed it, the chicken was very moist and I had no problem. The next day, trying to eat leftovers, it was too dry and felt like that baseball! I do sip water with my meals. I was told the reason not to drink with meals was because the liquid would take up too much room and prevent you from eating enough of the protein you are trying to get down, but I'm still supplementing protein with 2 Atkins shakes/day (20 g per shake). I know I'm getting enough protein with those and the food I eat, so I do have liquid with meals. Even so, that's still not as good as making sure all the food is moist. That one little line in her book has helped me more than anything with that "baseball" problem!
