t Thanks Dianne! I know I have opinions......it's fine for you to do whatever you gotta do..we all gotta find our own way in working this thing out and finding what works for us...you know what it is with me?? The few 'treats" I can have..I think I get territorial about.......like I am afraid someone is gonna take 'em away from me and say I can't have them anymore... "News at 6: Woman assaults MD who tried to take away her SF popsicles!" Anyway..this weight loss thing has been maddening...2 weeks after surgery at my MD appointment I had only lost 7 pounds....you talk about a LUNATIC!!!!!! Then I healed and lost a bunch of water weight...so far so good...but I have had weeks where I gained and lost the same 3 or 4 pounds over and over and over...and sometimes in the same DAY...then a bunch would just "fall off"..... What a learning experience! Best Wishes! Hugs, Sher'

My understanding is that sf drinks count as part of your daily required fluid intake to prevent dehydration. But, really water is best because it flushes through the body without to much processing from the kidneys to remove all the dyes and artificial sweetners in like those in sf drinks. It can then move your protein stores to were they need to go and be processed and excess to be released(urinated). Think of it this way, 10 oz of water in is 10 oz of water out. 10 oz of diet snapple in may only be 7-8 oz out. Roni 1/21/05 271/230/140

my doctor said i could drink the crystal light or other brands of s/f drinks . i have tried alot of the walmart brand s/f drinks . they are good and cost only 1.78 a container . since they said water is great for you i have started putting lemon or lime in the water to help with the taste . since i have lost 100 lbs in 2 months i'm thinking crystal light has not been bad for me . tina -100 lbs

Crystal light counts towards your water and so do sf popcycles. As for plain water, I've found it goes down much easier if it's not cold. Room temperture is much easier on my stomach. Pat

My doc says CL and Diet Snapple and decaf S/F drinks all count towards your water goal. However he would like to see his patients get in half the 64oz as plain water. That is just his personal preference. HTH! Hi, I try to drink two LARGE (25+ oz) of plain water a day and I drink one flavored drink (Minute Maid Light or Crystal Light) which I water down and put over lots of ice a day. Are you drinking ice cold water when your stomach cramps? I know it fills me up very fast, but it drains very fast too. I also like to add a little squeeze of lemon to the water sometimes. Good Luck!! Denise
