Seems like I am stuck at the same weight
Hi Misty,
I to had surgery 1/5/05. About 2 weeks ago I was stuck. The scale didn't move up or down and I was really getting depressed. Well I started really trying to get my water in and as much protein that I could and it started to move again. It seems like when I move from the 10 lb mark is when I stall. I was at 233 for the two weeks then bam, dropped to 228. I have been reading here that everybody has the same problem so keep the faith. I am now at the point where I am not hungry at all. I never dreamed that would happen. Good luck to you.

I am 7 weeks and have been stuck almost 3 weeks. It's frustrating and confusing. I definitely got in my water and protein, so don't know what the problem is. Going back to my doctor Monday. If he gives me some ideas to jump start my metabolism, I'll be the first to tell you. But everyone says the key is protein, water, and as much exercise as you can do. At my weight, it ain't much!

p.s. Keep your spirits up!
I was stuck for a couple of weeks, and I focused on drinking the water and getting in my protein, and then bam, I lost 5 lbs. I have been reading that it is normal to have stalls along the way. It is a way of letting our bodies catch up. I know it doesn't make you feel any better, but just consider yourself normal. The scale will move again.
I had surgery on 01/12 and from then till about three weeks ago, I had lost 50 pounds. In those three weeks, I only lost 10. On Monday the weight loss started back up. From 03/14 till today I have lost 5 pounds. I beleive the reason I slowed down was that I had started execising more which caused muscle growth (muscle is heaver that fat), I started eating more solid foods and I was drinking less protein drinks, and my body was playing catch up with its self. On Saturday I started doubling my protein intake and I increased my water intake (I was at 64oz before). Things will get better, just make sure you are getting your water, protein, and exercise in.

Marti,
I feel for you!! I have to say I would feel just like you do I am sure if I was in your shoes, It must be terrible, but I must say that I read your profile and you said you were getting in about 600 cal. well just from my experiance the closer I kept my self at 1000-1200 cal a day the better I lost! With eaten so few cal. your body is probaly in starvation made and wants to hold on to everything you eat! I would just say increase your cal. for the next 4 days or so I almost bet that you will see a lost!! Good Luck to ya and the saying you are tried of hearing....lol "hang in there"!
