I know I couldn't possible eat the whole thing at only 8 weeks out but would you guys try a chicken wrap that has grilled chicken, lettuce and small cashews in it? I am afraid and want your advice Oh and what about italian wedding soup? This is my head cravings talking of course but just curious.

I am at 9 weeks and I don't believe I would try it yet, but I've had nothing but trouble with chicken so far. Have you tried chicken in other forms? I also have not had nuts yet - those scare me too much. And, what is italian wedding soup? I did have king crab the other night and it was okay, a little colicky afterwards, but not too bad.

I have tried things in tortillas before and the wrap just made me so sick. I do not know why but I can not keep any type of tortillas down. You may want to just try a little piece of the wrap first before you try it as a whole meal. Jenn

Hi Lisa, I tried italian wedding soup when I was about three weeks out..I mainly ate just the broth. But did try a little. If you have chicken or anything make sure you take small bites and chew until it's mush. Eat very slowly. I have had very few problems but I do chew it as much as I can and swallow small pieces. I am 6 weeks out and last night tried an egg roll. I ate the whole thing but it took a long time and I chewed it like forever. Good luck.

If you try a wrap you are braver than I am. I am 7 wks post op and I have lots of trouble with chicken, and I haven't even tempted the lettuce. It is hard to digest. As for the cashews, I was told NO NUTS until after 3 months out. That way you won't have problems with them getting stuck, not even sunflower seeds(which are my favorite). And too you want to watch and see what the wrap is made of. I was told that anything made with white flour will turn into a paste in our pouch and give us lots of discomfort. I take my bread and what ever I can to whole wheat. Taste not great but is more healthier for us. I have learned to be careful about the head cravings. We might crave things but our pouch will reject them. Take care and God Bless.

My advice, skip the wrap eat the chicekn. LOL! But if you have not tried each of the componants yet, don't eat them all at one time. That way you know exactly what you can tolerate and what you can't. Some say no nuts, I have been doing nuts since 5 weeks out. Peanuts, soy nuts, and sunflower seeds are my favorite, but I chew them until they reach peanuts butter consistancy. LOL! So eat just the chicken first. If you tolerate that then take note of that. On another time try the tortilla, and another the lettace. If you are ok on all three then perhaps in the future you can do a wrap. LOL! HTH!
