No don't !! Seems that you are about 9 wks post op, and you BMI is around 39 ? Well at 3.8 lbs on average per week, I think you are doing well. The point is to have a steady loss over the weeks, and months and it seems you are doing that. Also it is a very heathly amount and gives your skin the opportunity to skrink back some. I on the other hand am much larger than you beginning with a BMI of 55 so I hoped to loose at least 40 lbs the 1st 30days. Well that did not happen. I was really for a week or so, and then saw other posting saying they were slow slow loosers to. I am now 7 wks post op today, and have lost 41 lbs. So considering you are so much smaller I think you are doing wonderful. Hang in there, this is a journey, not a race I am told. We all need to look at this like our 401K plan.... long range. At the end of this year, I am sure we all will be very happy with our pace. Just keep doing what you are doing, I know you will get there too. Jane

Oh Girl, I feel your pain but TRUST ME, you WANT to loose about 2-4 pounds a week! Any more than that and your skin cannot keep up. I NEVER expected my skin to go back and knew that I would have to have major PS after all of this. But actually my skin is doing a lot better since I have slowed down to about 2-3 lbs a week. It is tighter and I look so much better in clothes than my friends who have lost the same amount of weight in half the time. I am more happy with my result than she is with hers. I know it sounds mean but I feel luckier. Yes, I will probably end up having to pay for my PS on my own but big deal... I have a year to sock away all the money I am saving on junk food! LOL! So just stay on top of your water, protein and vitamins and keep the faith. When you are having a good day or a bad day, come here and bounce it off of us! That is what we are here for Hun! Well I see two things that could definitly cause you to slow down... not enough water or protein. If you don't like water do crystal light, Minute Maid Light or something. You really have to make sure to get in 64oz of water, especially if you want to exercise. Also, it would be good to get in at least 20g more of protein. There is this great protein liquid called "Sci Fit Amino Infusion 5000 Liquid it is about $17.99 from Vitalady.com and comes in two flavors. It can be put into your water bottle with your crystal light and you can get a high dose of protein without the thick gritty protein drink consistancy. It is like thin juice straight so it blends really well with any watery drink! I also believe that it is 30g of protein to 6 TB. So definitly an easy way to get in your protein before and after exercise without having some heavy dairy mess in your tummy! I use this in my bedttime drink too! Hi Stacy You can't give up!!! You've done very well. I am in the same boat as you. I believe that if we did not get the surgery then we might be up 40lbs+ from where we are today. Keep your chin up and think positive, I think your right on track. Take care, Syndi

I wish I had the answer. I'm in the same situation, maybe worse. I had surgery one week after you and have lost 27 lbs since surgery, 10 lbs the week and a half before surgery for a total of 37. (Can't really count that) I don't know what is wrong either. Lets try and stay optimistic, maybe we'll be able to find a formula that works for us down the road. Dianne
