French Onion Soup?
Has anybody tried eating this yet? How did your pouch react?
I have a lot of work travel coming up later this month and next and will have to eat out at restaurants and I'm racking my brain for ideas. I started on solid foods but my pain-in-the-rear pouch is picky, so I still do a lot of soft or liquid foods. I know I won't be able to eat the bread in the french onion soup but wondered how I'll do with the onions?

I am almost 2 months out and I have had no problems with onions. Matter of fact at 1 month out it was the only veggie that did not bother me. LOL!
I eat out all of the time with my son....
FAST FOOD: (Don't do it often but once in awhile it is the only option I have)
Wendy's- Chili, cheese and sour cream
McDonald's- try not to eat there at all... if I have to grilled chicken breast and a tomato
Subway- anything without the bread and lettace....lol
BK- grilled chick & cheese (no bread)
RESTURANTS:
Cracker Barrel- MOST of the low carb menu I can tolerate but I love the Lemon Pepper Trout (it is 6-7oz so you have to split the fish into smaller servings, some cracker barrels will do this for you and charge you for a smaller portion if you talk with the manager), green beans and hashbrown casserol
Olive Garden- soup, grilled chicken, grilled zucchini, (they can cook things specially for you), hot artichoke spiniach dip
O'Charley's- most of the low carb options are great!
Chili's- I can toerate their chips & queso & salsa.... I loved most of the guiltless grill options, I just ask them to cook them without lettace or corn. And I skip the bread. Their soups are WONDERFUL!
a couple of local resturaunts to me are also GREAT!
HTH!
Brightest Blessings for a Wonderful Day~
