Hi all, I am 6 weeks out as well. I definately see some periods of time where I'm not losing like I did. It is intoxicating a bit... don't you agree! I am down to 207 lbs from 260 on 11/19...235 the day of surgery! I had to have IV fluids last week because of some stomach virus and also had no energy to exercise. I didn't loose anything durig that time. It's pretty amazing how our body knows not to let any reserves go when we are sick! I have been able to get into old clothes I put away and it feels so good to know I will not see those bigger clothes again (God willing and if I follow directions). Take care all.

I am suprised that you did not gain while sick, IV fluids will caused you weight gain for some time until your body has had a chance to use and filter it all out! LOL! That is why most people weigh more when they leave the hospital (from WLS) than they did preop. So you are ahead of the game. Glad you are feeling better! Congratz girl! You are doing so well! I am very happy for you! I only lost 1 lbs this week and I am so mad. I am officially done with this whole 3 meals a day no snacking, no depending on the protein drinks crap my surgeon made me switch to. I am going with what the nutritionist wants me to do and go back to protein drinks after exercise and before bed and eating small meals with small healthy snacks (If I need them and only if I need them like when I have too much time in between meals.) I am simply not getting in enough calories or protein doing just three meals! OYE! Oh well... did not mean to rain on your parade... you definitly got a good outlook on not comparing yourself to others. That is definitly the fastest road to depression! ~HUGS~ and keep up the GREAT work girl!
