Guess it takes time guys. I feel great one day and then the next I feel really wiped out! I'm getting in all my calories, proteins and fluids and exercise. I had an open RNY, just curious did either of you guys have the same procedure? I've had abdominal surgery before and I can remember not getting up to speed until about 3 months out. I have an appointment on Friday. Going to ask my Dr. about this. Take care guys.

I'm right there with all of you tired folks. I am 6 weeks out today. Last week I'd thought I'd passed this hurdle, started exercising, and getting out. This afternoon, for what reason I don't know, I needed a two hour nap. It's depressing isn't it! And also I've gained back the measly two to three pounds I'd lost last week. It reappeared this morning, like a bad joke. (Menopausal, so that ain't it) Dianne

Hello All! I can tell you this it gets better. I too was soooo until I forced myself to eat more, upped the b12 to 1000mcg a day and walked. I was told to eat 800-1000 cals / at least 25 grams of fat (I'll only eat 25) and 70gs of protein. When I wasn't losing - I was eating 500 cals - 10 or below in fat and 70 grams of protein. I was: 19 pounds down at 2 wks 22 pounds at 4 wks 22 pounds at 6 wks 35 pounds today! Only problem is the 30 minutes I spend in the bathroom... Keep the faith! Jen

I hear you... It's like we're in robot mode just gettin by on an eating and drinking schedule. I find myself dreaming about my bed by 2:00pm but somehow I manage to make it through the evening. I sure hope this passes soon. My blood work came back and they said my iron was a little bit low. I am trying to add a little iron but worry about the constipation problem I'm already having. Thanks for being there. take care, Syndi
