I am glad you posted this. I just posted on the main board, and I feel much better knowing I am not alone. I thought I was doing something wrong. I was a slow loser prior to WLS so I don't know why it should be different now. I lost 24 lbs the first month, and have only lost 1.5 lbs in the last 2 1/2 weeks. But as other posters said you can not give up. I am more bottom heavy, and don't have diabetes like some of the others. I just have to remind myself that it has taken me a life time to get to this weight on, and hopefully it will take a smaller amount of time to lose it. Lets keep fighting!!!

Hang in there Marti it will come off. My doctor told me it's not a race it is a marathon and you can't change what we've already done (surgery) do your best and it will happen. Ya know I think there is alot of pressure to lose really really fast after WLS, I am getting tired of people asking me for the numbers! I also have trouble getting 64 oz of water in but I can do crystal light. The protein is "do-able" if you avoid all the stuff they tell us not to eat (rice, pasta etc) I'm rooting for ya, Denise lap RNY 1/27/05
