Hello everyone, I've been kinda out of the loop this past month, but here's an update. I'm down 35 pounds and still have 80 pounds to go. I'm still experiencing a little discomfort and swelling in my stomach area near the incision where the micropouch was performed. Is this normal or do you think I should be experiencing more weight loss? I don't think I'm eating enough to keep my metabolism going. Please share your experience with the micropouch. Thanks

I am going on 7 weeks out and have lost 38 pounds...I had Lap RNY...my incisions have been healed for ages and I have no pain. I feel normal...as though I never had the operation...except I can eat less. We all lose at different rates, depending on start weight and metabolism..."lightweights" lose more slowly...it has been hard for me not to get caught up in the "horserace" and not to feel cheated somehow as I am not losing the enormous amounts oft recorded on the boards...I have just had to stop looking...I am fed up with the main board anyway. I am given to understand we all have stalls and plateaus along the way...I have had to raise my protein when I slump and up my activity. To me...my pouch is tiny enough by definition without adding "micro" Sher' 272/234/180

hi. i'm 2 months post op as well and i have lost 35lbs. i don't know if it should be more than that, but i am pleased that i am losing weight at all. don't get discouraged. i have found that doing the pilates and walking are helping my midsection feel less jiggly.
