Hi Monique, Your doing well. I think the majority of us are "slow losers" and maybe that's why we were overweight to start with. We will all succeed, we don't have a choice. I too wi**** would go quicker but if it's slower maybe our skin will shrink better. Keep up the good work. Syndi

Congrats on the weight loss!!! I am 7 weeks out and am down 36 pounds but have not lost in several days. I am also trying to increase my excercise to get those scales moving again - I still am tired after working all day then trying to exercise but that is getting better. Meat goes down well with me so far, but from what I can tell my pouch could just tomorrow wake up and decide not to like it! Great job on your weight loss!!!!

Dear Syndi, I can relate to scales not moving. I will be 6 weeks out on Monday, and have lost 28 lbs. The last 10 days, the scales have not budged. But I've read some other replies, and lots of us in the January community are around 30 lbs. I've started exercising on a treadmill, but this is just something I could do starting this week. I'm sorry to her you're having trouble with water, protein, and meat. I'm there with you regarding the water, (I average 50 oz. a day) but I force the protein down, and so far meat is treating me good. While we're not losing like some, still it's good to see my pants a little baggy. Hang in there! Dianne

Hi Diane, Well it sounds like we're in the same situtation. I just don't have the energy to do the extra exercising. What type of meats do you tolerate best? Everyday I have to fight myself to eat the foods I need. I know it will get better soon but it's tuff. Take Care, Syndi

I am actually tolerating all meats(except pork which I haven't tried.) But I have a friend who tolerated meat well at 6 weeks, but now has problems, so I won't get too comfortable with that. I eat meat loaf, chicken salad, baked chicken, fish, tuna salad, roast beef with au jus gravy soaked on it to soften it up. Any ideas on speeding up the weight loss? I'm taking in at least 60 grams of protein. I tried staying at 500 calories, but then the nutritionist told me to up the caloric intake to 800-900 to stay out of starvation mode, but that didn't help this week either. I guess it's going to be a trial and error situation. Good luck to you. Dianne

Hi Syndi, Congrats! Doesn't it feel great to be on the losing side!? I'm 6 weeks and down 42 lbs. Finally getting in 48-56 oz. liquids and I got the flavorless protein you told me about so getting my protein in now too, thanks. I had real chicken yesterday. My nutritionist said to try the Smart Ones frozen meals for lunches, the chicken pieces were so tender, of course I didn't eat the pasta and not all of the meat but it was such a nice change from ground meat. Hopefully my energy level will come up some as I add more real food. Take Care, Pat 348/306

OK, I was really peeved at my small loss the last two weeks since I stopped snacking (doc's orders) and I was really kicking myself but after reading how much slower others are looking I feel a bit embarrased for being mad at myself. I am gonna talk with my nutritionist tomorrow and find out if I should go back to what he suggested and eating 3 meals 2 snacks. But anyways, I feel great (at least on the days I exercise). I have found that on the days I miss the pool or gym I feel like a total SLUG! so now I am totally dedicated to working out any way I can so I can keep up that energy level. Hopefully now that school is in recess for me (yes, I am still in college... I might graduate before I turn 30....lol!) I will have more time to try new things. Anyways, I am wearing a 16/18 right now and I am totally in gear to get myself below 200 and into a 14/16 before mid-april. I want to be VERY different before hubby comes home from overseas! You know the biggest thing that shocked me the other day.... I looked in the mirror before getting in the shower and realized I could see all of me! it has been a long time where I could do that without picking up my belly! And I can see my toes without bending over...whoo-hoo! OK, TMI, I know... but dang it brings a smile to my face! Hi Jamie, If you keep going at the same pace your husband won't know you when he gets home. Your really doing great. I want to try the Iron pills to help with the extra energy but I still have trouble with constipation. I don't think I've ever been this low on energy. I think that you should check with the Nutritionist since you were doing so well(why change a good thing). Take Care, Syndi
