Evenin all. Well I'll be eight weeks out on Friday. I get anywhere from 50 to 75 grams of protein in everyday and drink almost a gallon of liquids. I eat my three meals. I chew a Centrum chewable multi-vitamin and take 2500 mg of B-12 sublingual everyday. So why am I alway so tired and out of energy Even if I walk, it doesn't help. I am getting so frustrated!!! If anyone can help, I sure would appreciate it. I am going to my first checkup with Dr. on Thursday. He's was out of town. I am down 44 lbs. and am happy with that but i feel like a walking zombie! All i want to do is Any help would be appreciated. Sheila

Sheila, I am sorry that you are feeling so tired and frustrated! How have you been feeling emotionally speaking? Are you feeling depressed at all? I have been suffering from some depression since my surgery and my energy level is not very high. If you need to talk, please feel free to email me.....God Bless and I hope you feel better soon! Sheila, At my one month checkup, my Dr. told me that I should expect to feel tired and less energetic from approx 6-10 weeks out. He said that my body will go through a "malnutrition" period. But it ususally passes at 10 wks out. Maybe this is what you are experiencing. Are you getting your nutrition levels checked? B-12 and iron deficiency can cause the same symptoms. If your levels are okay, then my suggestion is to wait and see if your energy improves after week 10. Good Luck! Maria

It sounds like you are doing so well with your intake. Have you had bloodwork done yet to see if you are deficient in anything? Perhaps your iron is low. I have iron malabsorption deficiency so I am always anemic but on days where I am really low in iron I feel like a mac truck hit me! LOL! I hope that get some good news soon or that your energy returns! Sheila, I am 5 weeks out and also have NO energy. I could sit all day and watch tv and then head off to bed. I had to have my husband drive me to my 2 week checkup. I then went for blood work and found out I had become anemic since surgery, and also had LOW blood pressure. I immediately stopped my blood pressure meds, and doubled my iron. I'm feeling better, still not leaving the house much, just a short trip here and there. It could be a possibility for you as well. Good luck, and continued weight loss. Dianne

Sorry you are feeling so tired Sheila. The days when we feel tired from this surgery can be hard. Please try and rest whenever you can and let your Dr. know how you have been feeling. I'm sure he can help with some recommendations. Take Care.
