Hi Christi,
I know how you feel. I felt the same way at first. Especially not keeping water down and I was extremely gassy. Walking helps the gassiness. Eating slowly helped too. I used gel caps Gas-X to help with gas relief. I found that being gassy was worse than the surgery pain itself. Please give yourself time. Take one minute at a time if you have to. Regarding being tired, I had difficulty lifting my arms to wash my face let alone my whole body. Whenever I felt tired I rested. As each day progressed I gained a little more energy than the day before. Now my family can't believe how full of energy I am. Please try not to worry the "head hunger" you feel will start to adjust itself to your new diet. I remember looking at food commercials on tv and thinking that I hadn't made the right the decision, that I was depriving myself of all the good food I used to enjoy. I thought, "how and will I ever get over this?!". I'm four weeks out and I did get over those feelings. Remeber that your body is still swollen and healing on the inside. I promise that things WILL get better soon. Remember to let your doctor know how you are feeling about things too. Take care and check in with us to let us know how you are doing.
