December baby waving at th Janaury babies
Donna,
Checked out your profile and your terrific weight loss. Congratulations.
I had surgery 5 weeks ago, and averaging 5 lbs a week weight loss. Of course I'm disappointed with that. How much protein, water, exercise are you doing to achieve such wonderful results? I'd love to increase my weekly weight loss. Either way, I'm glad I did it, as 25 lbs are gone forever. And I have a better future to think about now.

I read your profile and from what your poor body has been through it's only natural for you to not be losing as quickly. Poor thing you, had the flu the day you got home. That must have been hard to deal with. Give your body time and the weight will come off.
I have no magic wand. I have a hard time getting in my water as I work retail and I'm on my feet non stop from the minute I get on the floor until the minute I go home. Might be my job that is helping me to drop the weight.
You also have to understand that everyone loses at a different rate.
Donna
In all honesty I have been naughty about getting my food in and even my water in take but I have noticed that I get a hunger spurt from time to time and when I eat I start dropping the weight. I don't eat large meals. Might have a mouthful of cottage cheese, couple slices of cheese or even a handful of peanuts.
I ate yesterday at least 5 times (small meals) and today I ate 3 meals and I dropped 4 pounds. I'm down 78 pounds as off today. Now I might not be hungry for the rest of the week.
I'm also very active in my job so I think that helps a lot.

Isn't it weird how that works out!? LOL! My doc wants me to be doing three meals nad no snacking. However my nurtitionist wants be to do three very small meals and two snacks. I lost more doing the meals & snacks than I have since I switched to just 3 meals.

I have been on this board for over a year now and from what I have read is that this surgery works differently for everyone. One lady who is at goal told me she eats 6 small meals a day, only a 1/2 cup at a time and has no weight gain.
My surgeon says only 3 meals a day but why starve myself to death. If I feel hungry then I'm going to a little something, even if it's just a piece of cheese to get me over. I work retail and I'm on my feet non stop and I might have my lunch around 6pm and get home around 9:30pm and be a little hungry.
You don't want your body going into starvation mode so you feed it and let it keep burning that fat. If the body thinks it's starving then it holds onto all your fat.

Tell me about it! For the last two weeks all I have done is three meals and I am starving all dang day and I have only lost 7 lbs in two weeks. I am going back to doing three small meals and 2 snacks. As long as I get my protein in and keep my daily calories in check I should be fine. Right now only doing three meals I am barely getting in 700 calories and only 45 - 55g of protein! UGH!
