I went to my six week checkup today. My surgeon said he wanted me to lose more in that time then I did (3-4 lbs more) I have gone down 34 since my surgery. I was surprised he told me to stop drinking protien shakes and to have 3-4 meals a day. I was glad he said I could go swiming now. I just wi**** had been more encouraging, I do not know what I could have done any different. I think I could have excersised more, but I am so tired all the time it is hard. Jenn

It's OK dear.... we are here for you! Personally, I had a rough check up too... he was positive on some notes and not on others. I just do not understand how they expect us to get in 80-90g of protein off of only three meals with no protein shakes when I can only eat about 1/4 c per meal! LOL! I mean I have gotten REALLY creative to boost the protein value of my meals but you can only do so much without turning your food into cardboard! LOL! Hang in there, once you get some energy back, exercising will be easier and then you will see more weight come off. Do you measure? I make sure to take my measurments log with me when they ask about how much weight I have lost to put it in perspective for them! HTH! Hi Jenn! Try not to worry about it. I think that sounds great for 6 weeks out. I am about a week less than you. We are going through a lot of changes, physically and emotionally. Don't beat yourself up over anything. Look forward to the swimming you are cleared for....and be sure that everything will fall into place like it should. --Jezzie

Hi Jenn Please don't let that doctor spoil your success. Losing anything is better than gaining and you have proven that you are succeeding. I think your doing awesome! I am about 5wks out and have lost 28lbs. Some of us lose more than others. Try to read some of the back posts and you'll find that your just like everyone else. Some weeks are good and some aren't. When it comes to exercise I feel like you do, toooooooooo tired. I am trying to step up the B12. Good Luck! Take care and keep in touch, Syndi

Thank you all for the responses. It has helped me. I am going to keep up my spirits. I am going to go to the gym and see about getting a personal trainer. This may help, I know if I can get into the flow of the excersise I will have more energy. Jenn
