Protein Drink Recipe
Hi all,
I posted this recipe as a reply to a post on the main forum and wanted to share it here as well for anyone who is having problems tolerating protein powder drinks.
Here's something you can try that doesn't require spending lots of $$ on protein powders because most of the ingredients are things you probably already have on hand. And the best part is that it has 15 grams of protein!
In a blender mix together 1/4 c. cottage cheese, 1/4 c. egg beaters, 1/4 c. water, 1-2 packets of Splenda (or sweetener of choice), 1 tsp of your favorite extract (I usually use vanilla or almond) and a few ice cubes. Blend until well mixed.
I know you're probably thinking "GROSS" when reading the ingredients, but trust me, you can't tell there is cottage cheese in it. When I use vanilla extract it kinda reminds me of an egg nog taste. If you have any unflavored protein powder add that as it will help to boost the protein count. Hope this helps you out. Good luck!!

Actually I survive on cottage cheese... it is the raw eggs that scare me....LOL!
Glad you found something you like though! I am definitly not an egg nog kind of girl... I drank too much as a kid, I hate it now. LOL!
