Hi Sue The grilled cheese was awesome and stayed down just fine. I even used the white american cheese from WaWa(I saw you live down the road so you know the store). Take care, Syndi

Hi Sue, I live right near the DE border and just figure that we live much closer than some of the others. It's not too far. Take care, Syndi

It does sound like whatever you are doing is okay, since you have a good weight loss and seem to be feeling fine. My water intake is about 70 oz or more (I am always thirsty and enjoy drinking water. I need a lot after I walk on the treadmill). My protein without protein drinks is about 50 grams and with one protein drink about 70 grams. I eat a lot of reduced-fat or fat-free cheeses and meats (luckily I can tolerate a few different meats), and also eggs and Carb Countdown milk. I only eat a small portion of veggies and fruits with no white carbs. I don't have trouble with chicken so far. In fact, I am getting sick of chicken because it is one of the few meats I can tolerate. Some days I can tolerate things that I couldn't the day before--really strange, but apparently this is common. This is just my usual intake. When I have a bad day, I can hardly eat or drink anything, but this has only happened a few times. Sue R.

I don't always get all of either but...I ended up with kidney stones so I am going to make sure I choke down all of this darn fluid if it kills me! Heidi

well I take in about 2- 16oz water bottles per day and then I fill one of them with crystal lite and get that down and then I have 1 protein shake a day....soooo 32 + 16 + 6= 54 oz of liquids and then I get in anywhere from 60 - 80 g of protein including my shakes. If I don't get in the shake then I can only manage about 40 - 50g of protein off the food alone b/c my portions are still so small! Hi Jamie, Boy are you doing well with the fluids. Do you carry your water bottle everywhere you go? I do and I even sleep with it but still can't get in anymore than the 40oz. I did find that hot chocolate stays down better and gives me more protein. Take care, Syndi

Yeah, no matter where I go it goes with me.... I find I drink more in settings where I am talking a lot like at school, work (I volunteer), stuff like that. I also drink a lot when I am driving! It is weird! I did make an effort to meaure how much my household glasses hold in fluids so that when I drink from them I can guesstimate how much I have drank. For example, my regular glasses hold 12 oz and my wine glasses hold 8 and my juice glasses hold 4oz. Anyways, OrientalTradingCompany.com has these great "straps" that have a rubber ring that fits on the neck of a water bottle that way you can sling your water bottle on your shoulder or around your neck so you never forget to take it with you! LOL! My support group maven bough a whole package of these and gave us each one. (THANKS MOE) HTH! Hi all , I'll be 4 weeks tomorrow. Water seems to be a problem with me sometimes -especially in the morning, my pouch gets kind of achy when I drink it. I do take a 16 oz bottle to bed, and sip it all night long, then try to fini**** before I have my Protien Shake - 8oz milk ( 18grms protien- Designer Whey - Choc Peanut Carmel - best one so far - Hubby and I have tried MANY since his WLS 6 months ago) so before breakfast I've had 24 ozs of fluid, and 26grms protein. ( I take my vitamins with the shake) Then I pack my breakfast- ( cottage cheese(or ricotta cheese) & fruit ( 16gr protein) and eat it when I get to work after, I take my son to school. I also drink as much as I can before and after lunch - and I've come to love my homeade iced tea - I take a 20 oz bottle - drop in 2 caffine free tea bags ( use your favorite flavor) and 2 packs of splenda, fill it with HO****er, put it in the fridge, and sip it all day long ( except for the 30 mins before and after eating period) For some reason my pouch likes tea better than water!? For my lunch - either the cottage cheese again with fruit / or turkey lunch meat and a cheese stick (16grs) / or deviled eggs (l/f mayo) and a cheese stick (16 grP) // or my new favorite - solid white tuna with l/f mayo and red wine vinegar - & some cut up grape tomatoes (17 grs in 1/2 can) YUM! By now I'm up to 44 oz of fluid and and 42 grams of protien. Dinner is ususally 4 ozs of chicken or fish - so that's my 70 grams of protein for the day. And then another 20 ozs of tea or water before bed, and I made my 64ozs! It takes alot of planning. I had to have blood taken yesterday for my 1 month check-up next week, and it threw me all off. I didn't get in all my water - but am making sure I do today. Oh - we got Chinese food for dinner last night - steamed chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce on the side - IT WAS GREAT - a real treat - I at the chicken first and a few pieces of broccoli, then had the left overs for lunch today - YUMMY! Good luck - just try to get into a routine - and carry tha****er bottle with you where ever you go! Take care, Sherri
