Does anyon have trouble with food getting stuck?

I'm about 7 weeks post op. When I tried solid food, some with a more coarser texture seems to get stuck. It won't go up or down -it does in its own time. Am eating small, and slow????? This comes with excruciating chest pain as well for about 45 minutes?? Anybody had the same thing happen -do you know what it is?

Helen, I was having the same problem even my meds would get stuck. I told my Dr. and he sent me straight to an GI Dr. for a EDG. I had a stricture and ever sense the GI Dr. dilated the opening to my stomach I have had no trouble at all with eating or taking my meds. My advice would be to call your Dr ASAP and let them know what is going on sounds like you are heading down the same road I did. God Bless Kelly
