I am hoping someone out there can give me some suggestions for some protein supplements that are affordable and don't taste horrible. Got any information that I could use? I haven't started using any yet, but have heard that a lot of them are realy bad tasting and would like to avoid the realy bad ones. I'm hoping to find something I can purchase locally so I don't have to order through the internet. Wanda

Try Any Whey Protein Suppliment. It is almost tasteless (smells like vanilla) and I have been able to eat in scrambled eggs, shakes, soup, and even chili! It works great in flavored yogurts. It can't be heated, so put it in after cooking. Mix VERY well. I get it at the grocery store on the aisle with the protein mixs. It comes in a large can (one month supply). Lou Ann Gramann

I have heard that GNC has some great protein supplements. They have a policy that if you don't like it you can return it and exchange for something else with your receipt. I have not tried any of them, am now using Unjury chocolate, vanilla and unflavored (all 3 flavors are great) and PermaLean Berry, which is good also. They are both pretty expensive, though, that is why I mentioned GNC. Good luck. Sue R.

I use the ELITE line of protein supplements and I also use ANY WHEY. Go to BariatricEating.com and try their sampler basket or try buying individual samples and see what you like. The samples are like $1 a piece or something... it is really affordable to try each flavor and see what you can tolerate before buying huge tubs. HTH! I am only 5 weeks out but I could not tolerate the whey. My doctor's office suggested milk and I have tolerated it well. Tuna, Cottage Cheese , and Milk that is how I get my protein.

If you are using milk try adding a serving or two of non-fat powdered milk to get some extra protein! I do that all the time! Jamie

I have ordered the Unjury protein packages and am very pleased with them. They have different flavored ones, but I got the unflavored packages and mix them with milk, sf puddings, baked potatoes, ect. Other than changing the consistency a bit, you can hardly tell you have added it. Go to unjury.com or type in unjury in your search engine. You should be able to find it easily. Good luck on your hunt for protein! Shar
