I have been following my docotors orders to add regular foods in. However everytime I eat anything that is not pureed I get sick. Did anyone else have this problem? I think I am going to go back to pureed for awhile, maybe I just need more time. Jenn

Me too with the exception of soggy cherrios. Do the protein drinks bother your stomach? I also have trouble getting in enough water. I am constantly looking for something different to eat because I want to eat but if it's not mushy then I'll get sick. I've been eating a lot of different soups. Good Luck, Syndi

I do not have a problem with the shakes, though I am very tired of them. I can eat refried beans and tuna, so I have been eating that allot. I just am sick of being sick when I try something new. Jenn

Hi Jenn, Are you remembering to eat very slowly, very small bites, and chewing at least 20-30 times? It's so hard to remember, but that is what I have to do to be able to tolerate anything. My dietician told me to take 20 to 30 minutes to eat my meal. That's a long time to chew with no more than we can eat. I sure hope it gets better for you soon. Take care, Shar

Hi Jennifer, I am 6 weeks out and I can't eat meats without feeling like it is in my throat. So I have gone back to puree meats. I feel like I need more time also. I met with my nutritionist yesterday and she suggested add new food slowly. So today I had pureed salmon with alfredo sauce.I add sauces to the meats because they are dry. I enjoyed the pureed foods, so I decided to gradually add new foods. I don't like the taste of chicken at this time. So let's not into semi-solid foods before we are ready. Best Wishes, Tammie G. lovin WLS
