I can eat too much!!

Okay, I'm not eating all the time. I'm sticking to my 2-3 meals a day like I am supposed to with no snacking. I'm getting my water in. But here is the thing - I read on here about people who can barely tolerate one egg without feeling very full, but tonight I had 2 scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of whole wheat toast (I just got okay'd today to add whole grains). I did not get overly full - I was comfortable and satisfied. I didn't dump, and I was even able to drink my water. I have been able to eat more than most since I switched over from liquids. I'm afraid my pouch is already stretched, even though I haven't overeaten and made myself "stuffed". What's going on? This was my last chance to lose weight, according to my Dr. - I can't screw it up now! Amanda

Amanda, Kate had some great advice. My only question for you is whether you are drinking water with your meals? If so, stop immediately. You should not drink 30 min before or 30 min after your meals. Drinking with meals can wash your pouch out allowing you to eat more and you will not absorb the needed nutrients. I would also caution you on eating too many carbs even if its whole wheat. Right now it may not be such a big deal, but eventually your body can adapt. I heard a horror story today about a woman that had lost 120lbs and has gained back 67 of it because she its a lot of pasta and other carbs. I don't mean to be an alarmist, just be careful and make sure you get your protein in first. adrienne
