There is a raging debate on another post-op group that I belong to about what vitamins we should be taking and how much and I was interested in finding out what everyone here is doing. The other group has me very confused and questioning my own plan. I am currently taking a flintstones vitamin morning and night along with a viactive calcium 3x/day. Should I be on more? Is flintstones really not any good for us? Is Viactive truely the wrong kind of calcium? Should I be taking an iron supplement? Let me know your physicians thoughts.... requirements. Thank you! I can understadn your confusion. I am on Vitamist (spray multivitamin) I take 2 puffs four times a day. I also take sublingual b-12, and bioten, and vactive. I have my bloodwork done next week so I will find out then if what I am taking is enough or too much. Basically it is your own body that dictates what works and what does not. HTH! Jamie

I take Vitamist as well, as long as calcium (2 Tums ultra once a day), a weekly sublingal B12, and an iron pill each day... I am taking exactly what my surgeon's office said to, although others seem to say other things...so far it works for me but we will see when I have my first blood work done in a few months
