Passed out Today! Forgot to take it easy!
I had an energy spurt that lasted until about lunch today, so I cleaned closets, washed clothes, dishes, cleaned windows, changed diapers, put away clothes, played with the kids and started cleaning the garage.
I had just walked inside the dining room when I felt the room dip. I reached for the table, and the next thing I knew, my 5 year old son was patting my cheek saying "Mommy, you can't take a nap here!" and my three year old was saying " Mommy, are you OK?". My hubby came home after I called him, and he chewed me out but good. He was right, of course, I scared him and the kids by not taking it easy like I was supposed to do. I would like to feel more guilty but my house is just too clean! : )
Moral: Drink lots of water, eat your protein, and TAKE IT EASY!!
Lou Ann at 4 weeks post op minus 35 lbs.
Lou Ann I know how you feel. Your like me and we are mothers and we don't know the meaning sometimes to just relax and let things go. I am a little over 3 wks post op and I have the same problem with the energy spurts and then being dizzy afterwards. And I too got a good chewing out by my husband that I need to sit down and let things go for a while. And I too agree with you to drink lots of water and eat your protein. So far I have lost 35 lbs also. Take care of yourself and take it easy.
Man girl, I am glad you are OK! At times I am afraid that I might be pushing it took much but what choice do I have? My hubby deployed when I was 3 weeks post op and I do not have local family and none of my friends have time to help me. So I figure at this moment in time, my daily activities is enough exercise for now. Who needs a gym when you have activities all day long and two dogs to walk each night! LOL!
