Hi all...
I am 3 wks post op today. On Feb 6th I put a load of laundry in the washer went for a walk, and upon my return took the wet clothes from the washer to the dryer, and then a few mins later felt like I had a stich in my side or something like that. Well I assume I pulled something so wore my binder for a week and it seems to go by the following Sunday Feb 13th. Then yesterday on my 1st day back at the office I was in the bathroom pulling up my underclothes and slacks up over that darn binder and somehow managed to pull something again and this time it really hurts. I had a miserable night.
My doctor's office tells me that it is likely scar tissue that sometimes give pain upon certain movements. But good grief I was hoping to have less left side pain, rather than causing more by doing stuff.
Has anyone else suffered this type of pulled muscle or whatever?
I feel like I have not slept in weeks and I am tired. But otherwise having no other types of problems. Eating is good, water could be better, working on that and working on getting more protein. I get about 40grms per day right now and about 30oz of water. I stuggle still with the water, but hope that will get better with time.

I am so sorry to hear that Hun. I personally have not felt anything like that but a friend did. She actually gave herself a hernia mowing the lawn but she figured it was something else. At her next appt. her doc informed her that it was a hernia. If you are that worried about it, it probably would not hurt to make an appt and get seen by your PCM.
HTH!

Its funny that you say this. I had surgery on 1/3/5. I too, moved very slowly on some days, where as others I would clean my house, do laundry, etc. I went back to work on January 24. I had a stinging sensation on my left side, dr. told me that was normal, part of the healing process. They advised me to apply heat and take liquid tylenol. So I did. I was not enjoying my family, all I wanted to do was be left alone and not move. On january 31, I could not hardly walk. I went to hospital, they thought possibly gall bladder, nothing was found, then they ran several test, cat scan, blood work, xrays. etc. Then kept me overnight. I woke up the next morning and was feeling great....their diagonosis, was onset of shingles (but not rash appeared) my diagnosis, dehydrated. (I had an iv in me while in the hospital)
It gets better, I know your probably tired of hearing this, but it does.
Hang in there.
