Food Stuck
HELP! I know they tell is to eat slow but today has been a hard and fast day. I only had about 15 minutes to eat lunch and must have eaten too fast because I got the most horrible pain ever. I though I was gonna die and it was just mashed potatoes. Anyone know of a way to get this feeling to pass quickly? It lasted about 15 minutes.
It makes me want to go back to liquids to avoid this happening again. I am only 4 weeks out.

Hey, When my food gets stuck (ouch)I have found that swallowing and forcing a burp can help. Open your mouth really wide and yawn. Then swallow (not liquids or food, just saliva). It helps speed up the process. Still, it may last 5 minutes or a little more. I do liquids as much as possible during the day, then switch to mushy for dinner. But everyone is different. You may need mushy for breakfast.
For speedy lunches, try something cool. Hot or warm food seems to irritate tummy more than cold. (the opposite of when I used to get a tummy ache and hot tea would make it feel better). Good Luck.
